LAKEVILLE, IN. – The varsity softball team played host to Class 3A #11 New Prairie for the home opener.
The two squads battled early, finishing the second inning in a 1-1 tie before the Cougars pulled away.
Sydney Coblentz and Ayva Barger singled for LaVille, while Allison Medors collected an RBI double.
Quincy Blodgett, Cambree Howe, and Chloe Herbster pitched for LaVille.
The Lancers are scheduled to play South Bend Clay on Thursday, April 8.
