TOPEKA, IN. – The varsity softball team was eliminated from the IHSAA state tournament following a 15-2 loss to Class 2A #10 Central Noble.
LaVille gave up five early runs, but battled to keep things through the fourth inning before the Cougars pulled away.
Hannah Filley, Allison Medors, and Allison Thomas each collected hits for the Lancers.
Thomas hit a 2-RBI double in the sixth to keep the game alive for LaVille.
Alexis Wilfing pitched the complete game, suffering the loss in the circle.
LaVille graduate three fine seniors in Hannah Filley, Hannah Good, and Brianna Sauer.
The Blue and White return 12 players to build on for the 2020 season.
