Hallie Hulsey and Claire Wainscott fnished in the Top 10 to lead the junior high girls cross country team. Hulsey finished second, while Wainscott finished sixth.
Aubrey Lille was 19th, Envy Hesch finished 24th, and Hailey DeWitt 38th.
New Prairie won the team portion with 30 points. Urey finished with 51, LaVille was third with 60, and Knox had 98 points.
“It was a tough course, but the kids ran the hills smart and finished strong,” said LaVille Co-Ed Cross Country coach Erin Ecker. “This is something we worked on, Aiden said he was running by another kid and they took short strides while he opened his up and was able to pass two runners and they never caught back up to him.”
The co-ed junior high cross country team will participate in the 17-team Tippecanoe Valley Invitational September 14.
