LAKEVILLE, IN. – The LaVille girls basketball team played host to Class 2A #5 North Judson-San Pierre in a key Hoosier North Athletic Conference game.
The Bluejays were able to hit early shots and jump out to a big lead en route to a 53-20 victory over the Lancers.
North Judson opened a 36-5 lead at halftime, but LaVille played improved basketball in the second half.
“I was pleased the way we played in the second half,” said LaVille coach Corey Duncan. “We had a better effort and were more court aware. North Judson is a good team. We have to take these last few games of the season and have focused improvement. We have been working really hard at boxing out and it is showing in the game.”
Julia Hall led the Lancers with seven points and Kelsey Aschenbrenner hit a pair of 3-pointers for six.
