LAKEVILLE, IN. – The varsity girl’s basketball team played host to Class 1A #5 Oregon-Davis in the consolation round of the 55th Annual TCU Bi-County Tournament.
LaVille battled through the first 24 minutes, taking the lead on a couple ocassions, before trailing 20-17 at halftime.
The Bobcats pulled away in the third quarter, holding the Lancers to just two field goals and outscored the hosts 15-5 to take a 35-22 lead.
Madelyn Fuchs drained a pair of 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 10 points. Trynitie Cox and Allison Medors followed with six points each, and MaKenna Tribbey chipped in with five points. Cox hauled in 11 boards to lead the rebounding effort. Sherk had five boards and Fuchs four.
LaVille will close the season on January 30 against Argos and February 1 against Culver Community. Both games will be held at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. The JV will tip at 6 p.m., with the varsity to follow.
