LAKEVILLE, IN. – LaVille Athletics takes this opportunity to take an “UP CLOSE” look at our high school assistant coaches.
We continue our assistant coach series with LaVille Basketball Assistant Jason Breden.
Coach Breden says:
I graduated from LaVille High School in 2016, where I played soccer, basketball, and track.
I went on to attend IUSB, and graduated this Spring with a degree in Secondary Social Studies Education. I student-taught with Lee Dennie this spring semester, and am currently in the process of applying to replace him.
I just wrapped up my fourth year as an assistant basketball coach to Michael Edison. I have also coached Junior-High Track the past two years, and I coached soccer for one year.
The benefits I find in coaching are being able to continually learn the game of basketball and be mentored by two of the best coaches in the state in Michael and Jack Edison. I also find it deeply satisfying to help coach the next generation of LaVille basketball players, and see them continue to uphold the values and tradition of the program.
An interesting fact about myself is that no one in my family is above 6 foot tall, and I’m currently 6’4.
