Boys Varsity Track · JACOB HOMINIUK: “Put In The Extra Time. It Will Help You In The Long Run Be Successful.”

LAKEVILLE, IN. – Senior Jacob Hominiuk plays football and is a member of track and field at LaVille High School.  Hominiuk is part of our Spring Senior Profile Series.  Over the past few weeks we continue to recognize spring senior student-athletes and learn a little more about each one of them.

“Put in the extra time to do workouts outside of the required practices,” Hominiuk said when asked what he would tell younger kids that want to be student athletes.  “It will help you in the long run be successful.”

According to Hominiuk, he has enjoyed his time at LaVille and playing football since grade school.

“It’s been fun playing football with my friends since elementary school,” said Hominiuk.  “Going to a small school has made our team bonds stronger.  There is no feeling like being under the stadium lights at a home football game on a Friday night.”
In closing, Hominiuk says that he always made sure his homework got finished.

“I won’t lie and say it’s easy to balance schoolwork and practice,” concluded Hominiuk.  “There were times I finished assignments one hour before the class. But I made sure to keep my grades where they needed to be in order to play.”
