Parents & Community Members,
eLearning Plan: Yesterday and today, teachers have been preparing for eLearning lessons for students to complete on Wednesday and Thursday. To access our eLearning information, you must first visit the corporation website, https://www.unorth.k12.in.us/, then click on the eLearning tab located at the top of the site. From there, you should be able to access eLearning sites for each building and individual teacher eLearning pages. It is also important to submit attendance each day of eLearning. If you have questions or need assistance submitting attendance, feel free to contact the main office at 574-784-3151. Anything assigned for eLearning from this week will need to be submitted no later than midnight on Sunday, March 22nd.
If you encounter troubles with our corporation website, eLearning site or Canvas, please take time to contact our Technology Department at ext. 3233. If you have individual questions for teachers, please reach out to those teachers via email.
Food Service Options: Starting on Wednesday of this week, Union-North will offer breakfast and lunch to students. If you have not completed the survey to share your food service needs, please do so. If you cannot complete the survey for any reason, please make contact with the office at 574-784-3151 for details.
With the help of staff volunteers, we will begin delivering packaged meals (both breakfast and lunch together) around 9:15 a.m. We anticipate this process wrapping up by 10:00 a.m. Meals will be delivered by bus and we will follow our corporation routes to deliver to those families that have communicated this need. Throughout this process, families will be able to add their names to this list. Families are asked to go to the bus when it arrives to get the meals from the staff.
We are also taking a bus to service our out of district students that have communicated their needs for food service. We are asking that families that use the Southlawn and Trinity Church bus stops to report to the Southlawn United Methodist Church, north of Kern Rd. on Old US HWY 31, for food pickup. We anticipate delivery at this stop to arrive at approximately 9:30 to 9:40 a.m..
Visiting the School: Since students will not be back in normal session before Tuesday, April 14th at the earliest, it is important for your children to have access to their computers, chargers and necessary school materials. If your child does not have these items at home, please contact the school to make arrangements to get these items. Students and families are able to come to the school throughout the week to collect necessary items. I encourage you to contact the school before coming in to make sure someone is in the office.
Report Cards: Report cards for LaVille Jr. Sr. High School’s 3rd Quarter grades were mailed home today.
