LAKEVILLE, IN. – As national, state, and local health authorities take steps to reduce the spread of theCOVID-19 virus, we all want everyone to stay safe and healthy.
It is the hope of many across the nation and the state of Indiana that our lives can return to as normal as possible very soon.
Should that occur, and, If/when school can resume and spring athletic teams are allowed to begin practices and games, there are Indiana High School Athletic Association guidelines that must be followed prior to the start of competition.
Please see below for the number of days teams will need to complete practices for each respective sport if/when we return to school (from Paul Neidig IHSAA Asst. Commissioner):
*Track – kids are well past 10 days of practice – how many days will we need to have before they can start meets? Rule 9-14 – 6 Practices
*Softball – kids are now at 5 days of practice – how many days will we need to have before they can start games? Rule 101-1 – 5 Practices
*Since Baseball, Boys Golf, Girls Tennis have not started practicing, they will need 10 full days of practices before games/matches. Rule 50-1 or 101-1 – 10 Days of Practice.
