Girls Varsity Golf · Seniors Garrett, Howard Return; Lancer Girls Golf Looking For Underclass Depth

LAKEVILLE, IN. – The first official LaVille Girls Golf practice is less than a month away and Lancer head coach Lindsay Garrett is looking for a few more golfers for the coming season.

Garrett, who will return seniors Taylor Garrett and Elizabeth Howard, is excited for the 2019 season.

“I’m really looking forward to this season with the return of seniors Taylor Garrett and Elizabeth Howard,” said Garrett. “Hopefully we have a few underclassmen join us this year, too.

“With such a small team, its easy to give the girls one on one coaching throughout the season,” continued Garrett. “Each year I’ve seen the girls improve and I’m sure this year holds that as well.  It should be a great season with us improving our overall play and working on specific strengths and weaknesses each girl has.”

Garrett plans to open the first official practice on Friday, August 2, at Swan Lake.  The team will meet at LaVille for a 9:30 a.m. departure and return by 12 p.m.  According to coach Garrett, the girls are planning to take some swings on the driving range and “get back into the swing of things on the range, chipping, and putting.”

The first LaVille Girls Golf match is scheduled for Wednesday, August 7, against Caston at Swan Lake.  The first tee will be at 5 p.m.
