school news · Sudden Cardiac Arrest Screening Information

LAKEVILLE, IN. – LaVille Jr.-Sr. High School through the Zac Mago Foundation and mCORE (Mobile Cardiac Overview and Risk Evaluation) will provide Cardiac Screening Opportunity.  The screening will be May 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Each senior student-athlete that signs up for the screening will receive a pass.  The senior-student athlete will then proceed to Locker room D104, located in the athletic area at the south end of LaVille Jr.-Sr. High School.  Signs inside the school will direct the senior student-athlete where to go.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is the #1 Killer of Student Athletes Each Year, many of which could have been prevented with a simple examination like this.

The time requirement is approximately 10-12 minutes per student and each student will be receiving
both an EKG and Echo screening. You may use your healthcare spending account or flex care spending
account for payment.

All mCORE screenings are performed by registered cardiac sonographers and results are read by mCORE
medical director and our team of pediatric cardiologists.

(Please contact mCORE should financial hardship preclude you from taking part).
