LAKEVILLE, IN. – As the holiday season approaches, the LaVille and Jimtown communities found a way to perform a bit of community service.
The Lancers played host to the Jimmies in a basketball scrimmage recently, and admission was a donation to the local food pantry.
Members of both communities combined to bring a sizeable donation to the County Line Brethren Church Food Pantry.
Wyatt Smith of the County Line Brethren Church Food Pantry was most grateful for the support.
“The ladies that run the food pantry appreciate the community helping the food pantry,” said Smith. “It is a viable ministry and important in our community. We appreciate everyone helping something that is needed in this area.”
The County Line Brethren Church is located on Tyler Road, just across from LaVille Jr-Sr High School and patrons in need of the food pantry services may contact CLBC. You must be a member of the Union North United School Corporation area to receive services.
