LAKEVILLE, IN. – The junior high football team picked up a pair of victories.
The seventh grade posted a 33-0 victory.
Jaylen Bobbitt, Michael Good, Lucas Plummer all scored touchdowns. Nathan Kurzhal, Nathan Diaz, and Good all kicked PATs.
Matt Schaefer collected an interception for the Lancers.
In the eighth grade contest, LaVille shutout the Redskins, 44-0.
Paul DeWitt scored three touchdowns. DeWitt rushed for a TD, caught a TD pass from Ross Wagoner, and he returned the opening kick-off 73 yards for a score. Also hitting pay dirt for LaVille was Noah Richhart, Garrett Wagoner, and Colin Allen was on the receiving end of a TD pass from Wagoner.
Lucas Plummer had four extra points.
The defense was also impressive, forcing six turnovers.
Mason Stepp led the way with two fumble recoveries, Levi Stafford a recovery, and A.J. Bedock a recovery.
DeWitt and Clay Borton intercepted passes for the Lancers.
The Lancers have now outscored 176-0 and improved 5-0 on the season.
LaVille’s next test will be Thursday, September 27, against Jefferson at School Field in South Bend.
The first game is set to kick at 5 p.m.
