SENIOR PROFILE SERIES
LAKEVILLE, IN. – Catherine Neese is a senior at LaVille High School and is the next in our Senior Profile Series. Neese participates in cheer, softball, winter guard and color guard.
When asked what she would tell younger kids that would like to be a student-athlete, Neese responded, “I would tell them to take every chance they can get to help fundraise for the team, and always, always, always manage your time properly with homework.”
Neese has a unique way of managing her study time.
“I manage my time by making the things I need to study portable,” said Neese. “Like putting things on notecards, so on long bus rides to games you can study without hauling your bag around.”
Neese has also enjoyed her time of being a student-athlete at LaVille.
“Being a student athlete has been an awesome experience,” explained Neese. “And I’m so glad I got to experience it for so many years. All the coaches are understanding, but push you hard enough to make you better at the sports you love. Also, all the sports are just so close knit, almost like a community. And don’t be afraid to push yourself to the next level where you can learn something new.”
