Boys Varsity Baseball, Varsity Football · DEVON SCHOFF: “Being A Student-Athlete Build Bonds With Coaches, Teammates That Is Unmatchable”

LAKEVILLE, IN. – Devon Schoff is a senior that participates in football and baseball.

Schoff is the next in our series of Senior Profile Series for fall athletics at LaVille High School.

Schoff encourages younger kids that would like to be a student-athlete, “to stay on top of their work, don’t let yourself get so behind you have to stress yourself out just to catch up.”

As a student-athlete himself, he says that he really tries to use his time wisely.

“I try to get most of my work done during classes,” says Schoff.  “That way I don’t have to worry about it at home.”

Schoff does enjoy being a student-athlete at LaVille and understands the time commitment.

“It has been a lot of fun,” explained Schoff.  “There is a lot of school spirit here which makes the experience that much better.

“To some it can seem almost not worth it at some points because of how much time it can take,” continued Schoff.  “But if you can make it through those moments being a student-athlete is some of the most fun you can have and it builds bonds with coaches and teammates that is unmatchable.”
