Girls Varsity Tennis · Ross: “Extra Focus And Make Sure Not To Procrastinate”

Class of 2018

LAKEVILLE, IN. – Senior Rachel Ross is a member of the LaVille Tennis team.

Ross is the first installment of our Senior Profile series for the spring of 2018.

When asked about what advice she would give younger kids that would like to be a student-athlete, she responded,  “I would advise them to start practicing early on and to stick with it even if it may be difficult at first. I would also tell them to enjoy themselves and to work hard.”

Being a student-athlete takes organization and a commitment to the education process and the team(s) you play for.

“It may be difficult sometimes,” says Ross.  “But you just have to have extra focus on time management and make sure not to procrastinate.”

Ross is a four-year tennis player and has really enjoyed the sport.

“Playing tennis has been the most fun that I’ve had throughout my last four years,” explained Ross.  “I love my coaches and my team and am very grateful that I’ve had the chance to play with them all.”
