BOURBON, IN. – Kolby Watts scored two touchdowns and LaVille’s defense posted a shutout in the second half in a 22-14 loss at Triton. The Lancers are now 1-1 overall (0-1 in HNAC). Triton improves to 2-0 (1-0 HNAC).
Watts hit pay dirt on an 85-yard kick off return, then scored on a 30-yard run over the left side.
Trailing 22-14 to start the second half, the Lancers moved the ball to open the third quarter.
The Lancers used two 15-yard penalties and a solid rushing attack to take the ball to the Triton six. A pair of tackles for loss forced LaVille into a field goal attempt, which would be blocked.
LaVille’s defense posted a shut out in the second half, allowing the Trojans 63 total yards,
Watts rushed the ball 18 times for 100 yards.
