Multiple Teams · 2017 Football Summer Workout Dates Announced

The 2017 Football Summer Workout Calendar was released today.  All football players (Jr High and High School) are invited to attend summer workouts.  Each session will last approximately 90 minutes and include weight lifting and non-sport specific cardio work, plyometrics, form running and endurance enhancement.

Football specific training will take place during the “Football Night” dates listed on the calendar.  These are non-contact football specific workouts open to all Jr. High and High School football players.  During these workouts, the LaVille Football Coaching Staff will offer basic football instruction focusing on basic techniques, formation alignments, scheme specifics and 7 on 7 competition.  There will be no pads worn and there will be no contact during these sessions.


Once again this summer the LaVille Football Team will participate in the Notre Dame 7-on-7 competition on June 24, 2017.  Participation is voluntary and by invitation.  Athletes will be responsible for registering and paying their own individual entry fees.  The registration is completed online and will cost approximately $40 per player.  The coaching staff will be inviting specific players to participate in this competition.


The 2017 Summer Football Team Camp will take place on July 17, 18 and 19, 2017.  It is open to all high school players only.  Jr. High players are welcome to come watch but they will not be able to participate.  While attendance at the team camp is optional, all those who do attend will be issued their equipment on July 17th (or before).  Those who do not attend team camp will have to wait until the first day of practice to collect their equipment.


The first official football practice for High School will be Monday July 31, 2017 from 8am-12 noon.


All summer workouts are open to all students at LaVille Jr/Sr High School.
